ThriftyPunk is about caring for and celebrating what we have while creating new.
ThriftyPunk is a small business featuring a popup shop, community events, and a monthly
zine all centered around Queer community, environmental sustainability, and self-expression.
Launched in 2021 with my first market booth, ThriftyPunk as a shop contained secondhand
and handmade clothing and accessories.
The current version of the shop, dubbed the MicroShop, contains accessories that are all
handmade out of secondhand materials, and made it’s debut in summer 2025.
Throughout the past four years, I have also hosted Patch ‘n Mend events where I bring fabric,
sewing supplies, etc. (all secondhand, of course) into the community and help people learn
how to sew and mend their own items.
In July 2025, the ThriftyPunk Zine was launched. To learn more about what ThriftyPunk
is up to and subscribe to the zine, visit my Ko-Fi page, TheThriftyPunk
